Greenlane College is an Ordinary Independent school established in 2009. The founders aimed to build an institution with a firm academic record by producing credible results at all exit points, especially at the National Certificate (Matric) exams.
Conceived in 2009, Greenlane College admitted its first learners in 2010 at Bree Street Corner Gerard Sekoto. In 2013, the school relocated to Legal House, No.32 Commissioner Street, Johannesburg. From 2009 to 2020, it operated as a high school and transitioned to a mixed school registering primary learners as well. The school was established to provide affordable private education.

Since 2010, Greenlane College has produced excellent Grade 12 learners. Many have been admitted to South Africa’s top tertiary institutions.
